Chief Executive Officer
Denise brings more than 30 years of experience in healthcare administration in both acute care and acute rehabilitation hospital settings. Denise has been employed with HealthSouth since 1986 and has served in multiple roles within the company and assisted in various regions with administration, compliance and nursing issues. She graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Dr. Juan Lebron
Dr. Lebron earned his MD from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico, and joined Sea Pines upon completion of his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PMR) at the State University of New York in Syracuse. As a native of Humacao, Puerto Rico, Dr. Lebron is fluent in Spanish and has settled into the Brevard County lifestyle comfortably. He is happy to be able to see patients in the only acute rehabilitation hospital setting in Brevard County, where he specializes in the rehabilitation of patients suffering from stroke, neurological disorders, hip fractures, traumatic brain injury, and amputations, to name a few.
Dr. Juan Lebron is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.
Director of Therapy Operations
Kersten has been a physical therapist for 10 years and has worked in inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, home health care and long term acute care both as a staff therapist and a director. She joined the HealthSouth Sea Pines team in the fall of 2012. Kersten is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina with a master’s of science in rehabilitation sciences degree, and a doctor of physical therapy degree.
Dr. Dionne Casthely
Stroke Program Director
Dr. Casthely earned her D.O. from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, FL, and completed her training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She worked at Baptist Hospital Center for Spine Care in Miami prior to relocating to Melbourne. Dr. Casthely is comfortable working with patients in need of rehabilitation from diagnoses including but not limited to spinal cord injury, stroke and brain injury. She is also multi-lingual, and is fluent in French, Creole and Medical Spanish.
Dr. Dionne Casthely is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.
Human Resources Director
Nancy brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources management, including 13 years in healthcare human resource management. She is a senior certified professional (SHRM-SCP) with her master’s degree in business administration from Northwest Missouri State University. Nancy is experienced in recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, conflict resolution and coaching managers for success.
Chief Financial Officer
A 28-year HealthSouth Sea Pines Rehabilitation Hospital veteran, Dana has nearly 20 years of healthcare experience. She is responsible for all accounting functions, including patient business services, accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, medical records and dietary. Dana is a 1996 graduate of Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, with a master’s degree in business administration specializing in hospital administration.
Director of Case Management
After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation from Illinois State University, Karen joined HealthSouth Sea Pines in 1996 as a recreational therapist. Karen continued her education and received her registered nursing degree from Eastern Florida State College. She is a Certified Case Manager with more than 13 years’ experience in case management.
Director of Quality and Risk Management
Agnes joined HealthSouth Sea Pines in April 2016 and brings with her more than 30 years of experience as a registered nurse. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Philippine Women’s University and her Master of Science degree in nursing healthcare administration and healthcare finance from Florida Atlantic University. Prior to joining HealthSouth Sea Pines, Agnes worked in acute care settings, both for-profit and not-for-profit, as well as in teaching hospitals in various executive and operational roles; most recently as regional patient experience manager for South Florida.
Business Development Director
Greg joined HealthSouth Sea Pines Rehabilitation Hospital in 2005, where his hospital responsibilities include oversight of the marketing, business development, and admissions functions. He is a 1985 graduate of Western Illinois University with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare marketing, business development and managed care.
Dr. Mahathy Katukuri
Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Physician
Dr. Katukuri earned her medical docorate from Siddhartha Medical College in India and moved to the United States in 2007 where she completed her internship at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. She then completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to her joining Sea Pines in March of 2015, she worked as an outpatient musculoskeletal physiatrist at Florida Sports and Spinal Rehabilitation. Her clinical interests include general physical rehabilitation, stroke, brain injury, neurological rehabilitation and electro-diagnostics, among others. In addition to English, Dr. Katukuri is fluent in Hindi and Telugu.

Chief Nursing Officer
Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a minor in adult psychology from Husson University in Maine and a master’s degree in healthcare administration with a specialty in leadership and management from New England College in New Hampshire. Lisa joined HealthSouth Sea Pines in 2015 and brings 19 years of experience as a registered nurse specializing in trauma/critical care nursing and holds a national certification in this specialty. Prior to joining Sea Pines, she worked in the acute care setting in various executive roles, most recently as vice president of patient care services. Lisa has served as a board member with the American Red Cross and the American College of Health Care Executives Education Committee.
